PLACE’s mission is to promote a strong, accessible local food culture in Athens, Georgia. To achieve this mission, PLACE pursues four interconnected goals
1) Create opportunities to celebrate local food
2) Create opportunities to grow and eat locally
3) Develop and facilitate educational opportunities around food
4) Network community members, organizations, and institutions to create, maintain, and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships that build a strong local food culture
